Bravelle Manufacturer:

Ali Raif

Bravelle Information:

Bravelle is used for inducing ovulation in women who have already received pituitary suppression, but could not achieve the desired results. The generic name of the medicine is Urofollitropin and it belongs to the class of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Bravelle is to be administered into a patient’s muscle or under the skin via an injection. Sometimes, this drug is also used for the development of multiple follicles during the ART cycles.

Description of Bravelle:

Bravelle injections will usually be given to you for 7 to 12 days, depending on your medical condition and response to the treatment. During this period, ovarian follicular growth is produced in female patients who are not suffering from primary ovarian failure. Once follicular maturation has taken place with Bravelle treatment, the patient is given hCG, which is needed for inducing ovulation.

Advantages of Bravelle:

After taking Bravelle, your chances of getting pregnant increase significantly, as it induces ovulation in women, thus causing a pregnancy. This is a natural way of inducing pregnancy, and no artificial procedures are needed.

How Bravelle Works:

Bravelle is given to the patient via an injection either intramuscularly or subcutaneously. It acts by stimulating the ovaries of a woman to produce eggs so that pregnancy is made possible. You should not take this drug if you have an allergy to any of its ingredients, as it may worsen your condition in such a situation.

Safety & Precautionary Information:

Before taking Bravelle injection, you should inform your doctor if you have uncontrolled adrenal or thyroid dysfunction or if your high FSH levels indicate primary ovarian failure. You should also inform him/her if you have a pituitary tumor or an ovarian enlargement or cyst. Pregnant women should also not take this medicine, as it may cause harm to an unborn baby.

Before you buy Bravelle, you should be aware of the risks involved with the medicine. If you become pregnant after Bravelle treatment, your chances of conceiving twins or even more children may increase. You may also suffer a miscarriage or abortion during your pregnancy or your pregnancy may turn out to be an ectopic one. Therefore, you should be mentally prepared for such situations, although the chances are only minimal. Your doctor may also take your ultrasonography and other tests to monitor the growth of your follicles, administration of hCG timing, and minimizing the risks of OHS or multiple gestations.

While using Bravelle, some women may experience side effects such as abdominal pain, headache, constipation, acne, and local site reactions at the site of the injection such as pain, swelling, redness or itching. Most of these side effects are short-lived and improve on their own as your body gets adjusted to the medicine. However, if any of these persist or worsen, you should immediately seek medical help from a professional.
