Remicade is a medication that belongs to the family of biological response modifiers. Remicade is used in the treatment of severe Crohn's disease and also for mild to chronic rheumatoid arthritis. Remicade is used where other treatments have failed to show positive results. Usually, the other treatments are based on methotrexate treatment. Remicade works by putting off the sections of the immune system that are the cause for conditions like Crohn's and Rheumatoid diseases.

How Remicade Works

Precautions

Women who are planning to get pregnant should be on an efficient means of birth control while they are taking Remicade, and for at least six months after the last treatment. Breast-feeding: Women should discontinue breast-feeding while they are on Remicade and for a minimum of six months after the last treatment.
