Xeomin Manufacturer:
Merz Pharma LtdXeomin Information:
Xeomin is used to treat blepharospasm (involuntary blinking), strabismus (abnormal eye alignment), and cervical dystonia (a form of dystonia that is characterized by severe spasms in the neck area). In addition, Xeomin is also used to temporarily treat common signs of aging such as facial wrinkles.
Description of Xeomin:
Xeomin is made from bacteria that stops muscle spasms. The chemical name of this drug is Botulinum toxin type A, and it is available in Xeomin 100ui strength. The drug is prescription-based, which means you can buy Xeomin only if your doctor has prescribed the drug for your treatment.
Xeomin is administered through an injection that is injected into a muscle and only an experienced and well-trained medical professional should give it. Also, take the drug exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Taking Xeomin more frequently than recommended will not make the drug more effective, but is likely to cause unnecessary and sometimes serious side effects.
Advantages of Xeomin:
The following are the advantages of using Xeomin:
- The treatment does not involve surgery.
- The treatment takes only 15-20 minutes to complete
- The positive effects of the drug become visible within a few days after you receive the shot.
How Xeomin Works:
Xeomin works by preventing the muscles from contracting. Our nerves release a certain chemical called acetylcholine which our muscles should receive in order to contract. The muscle cells have receptors that facilitate the receiving of acetylcholine in normal circumstances. Xeomin blocks the receptors on the muscle cells. As a result, they do not receive acetylcholine. This, in turn, prevents the muscles from contracting. To be effective, Xeomin must be administered through an intramuscular injection.
Safety & Precautionary Information:
You should not buy Xeomin if you are allergic to incobotulinumtoxinA or any other ingredients present in it. Before starting treatment, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have/had had any of the following:

These side effects generally stop occurring after a few days. However, in case any of these symptoms persist or exacerbate, you should contact your doctor without any further delay.
